Kinuwestiyon ng isang militanteng kongresista ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) partikular na ang Western Command (WesCom) matapos na diumano’y pabayaan lamang na makalusot sa teritoryo ng Pilipinas ang mga sasakyang pandagat ng Tsina.

Batay sa mga ulat, nakalapit ang mga Chinese vessel ng hanggang tatlong kilometro mula sa Kalayaan Island.

Iginiit ni Anakpawis Party-list Rep. Ariel Casilao na wala namang ginagawa at mistulang nag-uusyoso lang ang AFP.

“Why do we sound so pathetic to the point that WesCom officials are seemingly expressing relief that there were no incidents that the Chinese vessels drove away Filipino fisherfolk? Should it not be the other way around, as obviously the foreign trespassers are so far away from their own territory and already encroaching ours?” hirit ni Casilao.

Inupakan din ng solon ang asta ng WesCom nang mistulang maliitin at balewalain lamang ang seryosong pag-uulat ni Kalayaan Mayor Roberto del Mundo patungkol sa pagtaboy ng mga Intsik sa mga mangi­ngisdang Pinoy sa loob mismo ng teritoryong sakop ng Pilipinas.

“It was reported in the news on Monday, and two days later, issues are still for vali­dation, amid all the resources and intelligence funding, the Fi­lipino taxpayers are deprived of much-neede­d and significant information,” dagdag ni Casilao.
