Mahigpit na kinondena ng Supreme Court (SC) ang tangkang pagpatay kay Bayugan Regional Trial Court, Branch 13 Judge Hector Salise at sa bodyguard nito sa Diversion Road Barangay Lemon, Butuan City noong Biyernes.

“Court condemns in the strongest terms attempts to subvert the rule of law through silencing of judges and call on the authorities concerned to take all necessary steps with all deliberate speed to fully investigate the attempt on Judge Salise and to prevent any such recurrences”, base sa pahayag ng SC.

Ayon sa report ng pulisya sakay umano si Salise ng kulay pulang Toyota Innova na minamaneho ni Narvasa nang pagbabarilin ng mga hindi nakikilalang suspek dakong alas-siyete ng umaga sa nabanggit na lugar sakay ng kulay gray na Mitsubishi Montero.
