Positibo si Steve Kerr na makakabalik si Kevin Durant mula calf injury ngayong postseason, pero ayaw magbigay ng timetable ng Golden State coach.
“There’s definitely some gray area with any injury but with a calf injury like that especially,” ani Kerr nitong Biyernes bago dumayo ng Portland ang Warriors para sa Game 3. “It’s going to be how he responds to the treatment and how his body recovers over the next days and however long it takes.”
Sinabihan daw si Kerr ni Warriors director of sports medicine and performance Rick Celebrini na hindi masigurado kung kailan makakabalik ang two-time reigning NBA Finals MVP. Mahaba-haba ang rehab at recovery mula nang magka-injury sa Game 5 ng conference semifinals kontra Houston.
Ni-re-evaluate si Durant bago ang 114-111 Game 2 win noong Huwebes, at sinigurong hindi makakalaro sa Games 3 at 4 ng Western Conference finals sa Portland sa Linggo at Martes (mga araw sa Manila). Posibleng hindi na siya magagamit sa kabuuan ng series, ang susunod na examination niya ay sa Biyernes pa.
Hindi pa pinapayagang sumalang on-court si Durant, walang scrimmage full court.
“He’s doing well. He’s in the training room every day, he’s around the guys. He’s actually recovering well, he’s doing well with his rehab,” dagdag ni Kerr. (VE)
