‘Di pa nagsisimula ang PBA Gover­nors Cup Finals, inaasahan na ng Ginebra at Meralco na magiging down-the-wire na naman ang best-of-seven series.

Babalatan ng magkatunggali ang pa­ngatlong installment ng karibalan nila mamayang alas-7:00 nang gabi sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Inari ng Gin Kings ang unang dalawa, sinipa ang Bolts para itaas ang back-to-back titles ng season-ending conference noong 2016 at 2017.

All-time record ng PBA ang gate attendance sa tunggalian ng Ginebra at Meralco noong 2017 sa Philippine Arena.

Sa Game 6, umabot sa 53,642 ang nanood sa Bulacan venue. Oct. 27 sa rubbermatch Game 7, pumalo na sa 54,086 ang sumaksi.

Tiwala si coach Norman Black na handa ang kanyang Bolts kahit masagad ang series.

“We feel like we’re in good shape,” aniya.

Buong conference inihanda ni Black ang kanyang players, para ina-anticipate na ang sampa sa Finals.

“We tried to pace our players throughout the entire conference to make sure they would stay fresh,” dagdag ni Black. “We will be ready just in case it does go to a Game 7.”

Si coach Tim Cone, ramdam din na mauuwi sa winner-take-all ang series.
“I think our feelings are it’s gonna go down to a Game 7,” aniya. “That’s generally the case when you have two really good teams.”
Nasuma na ni Cone ang mangyayari sa buong serye.

“We’ll throw grenades at each other back-and-forth for a few games, and try to come down to the wire and see who wins it all.” (Vladi Eduarte)
