Inanunsyo kahapon ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang paglalaan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ng halagang P1.4B para maayudahan ang mga sumusukong durugista.

“The goal is the reintegration of users back into the community, which is part of the second phase of the anti-drug campaign,” ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella sa media briefing sa Malakañang kahapon.

Parte aniya ito ng second phase sa kampanya ng gobyernong Duterte laban sa iligal na droga.

“Part of the second phase is the raising up of social workers, trained social workers and addressing the stay-in rehab clients which would be approximately one percent of those who have already surrendered so roughly about 10,000 will be in stay-in facilities,” dagdag ng tagapagsalita ng Palasyo.
