ZAMBOANGA CITY — Hindi na puwedeng gumamit ng face mask at iba pang mga bagay na maaaring makatakip sa mukha matapos ang madugong pambobomba sa Davao City.

Kabilang sa kautusan ni Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio na ipagbawal ang pagsusuot ng burqa, niqab, bull caps, sunglasses, face paint, balaclava at iba pang mga bagay na magkukubli ng mukha. Hiniling din na kung maaari ay hijab na lamang ang suotin ng mga babaeng Muslim.

“I understand the sentiments of our Muslim sisters with regard to the burqa, may I suggest that you wear the hijab which shows your face or cooperate with the security personnel and show your face if you are wearing the burqa. While it is true that these garments are not disallowed by law, we discourage their use in public places,” ani Mayor Duterte-Carpio.
