Pinakita ng Red Lions ang puso ng kampeon at lumabas din ang key game ni Robert Bolick na tumikada ng siyam na puntos sa huling dalawang minuto ng laro para layuan nang tuluyan ang Pirates.

Pinangunahan ni Do­nald Tankoua ang San Beda sa kanyang 27 points at 20 rebounds, tumapos si Bolick ng 24 points. Balik din ang laro ni Davon Potts na umayuda ng 15 points.

“I stick to the brand that we are still the underdogs,” panimula ni Lions coach Boyet Fernandez sa postgame interview. “We just won one game and it’s not yet over and we need to win one more game.”

Pinuri ni Fernandez ang players niya pero binulgar din na kinanti niya si Bolick.

“Credits to my players who never gave up until the end especially to Ro­bert who stepped up at the last minute of the game,” aniya.

“But I got mad at him because he celebrated too early with still 20 seconds on the clock before CJ Perez takes a long three, I told him wag muna tayong mag-celebrate, may segundo pang natitira at we need too win one more game.”
