Ang South Korean girl group na Girl’s Day ang breaking news ngayon sa entertainment site sa Korea dahil sa balitang madi-disband na ang 8-taong girl group. Isa rin ito sa masasabing aktibong K-pop girl group sa SoKor. Siyempre, malungkot at marami na ang umaapela na hindi ma-disband ang grupo.
Binubuo ang Girl’s Day ng apat na miyembro – sina Sojin, Minah, Yura at Hyeri. At halos lahat din sila, aktibo rin sa career nila bilang mga individual actress.
Bukod sa balitang disbandment, kinumpirma na rin ng kanilang agency, ang Dream T Entertainment, na ang isa sa apat na miyembro – si Sojin – ay hindi na magre-renew ng kontratra sa agency. Mag-e-expire ang contract nito ngayong February.
Katulad ni Sojin, ngayong 2019 na rin daw mag-e-expire ang management contract ng tatlo pang miyembro. Pero sa kabila nito, sa official statement na inilabas ng Dream T Entertainment, itinanggi nila na madi-disband na nga ang grupo.
Ang official statement ng Dream T sa isyung it: “Hello, this is Dream T Entertainment. We are relaying our official statement regarding the reports related to Girl’s Day today.
“Sojin’s exclusive contract with Dream T Entertainment is expiring in February 2019 and the decision to not renew was made.
“The remaining members (Yura, Minah, Hyeri) also have contracts expiring this year, so they are in discussion with the company in many ways.
“There is no intention to disband Girl’s Day’s group activities. We are seeking ways for the group to do activities together in the future.
“We ask for a lot of support so that all of the members can be more active and branch out into diverse activities.
“Thank you.”
Nag-debut ang Girl’s Day noong 2010 and signed up in Dream T. Nag-renew muli ng kontrata noong 2017. Sa span ng career nila, nakapag-endorso sila ng halos 20 brands. Nag-rank bilang Top 13 sa Korea’s Power Celebrity noong 2015 ang Girl’s Day habang si Hyeri ay pumasok sa Top 3.
