Inutos na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Department of Foreign Affrais (DFA) na magpadala na ng notice sa US government kaugnay nang pagkansela ng Pilipinas sa Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA).
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, tuluyang nang nagdesisyon ang Pangulo na kumalas sa nasabing kasunduan sa Amerika.
“[President Rodrigo Duterte] is instructing [Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea] to tell [the Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teodoro “Teddyboy” Locsin Jr.] to send the notice of termination to the US government,” sabi ni Panelo sa isang text message.
