Hindi isinama si volleyball superstar at three-time UAAP MVP Alyssa Valdez bilang guest pla­yer sa Ateneo pero kasali ito sa coaching staff, para masanay ang Lady Eagles na lumipad nang sila-sila lang at hindi aasa sa bagwis ni former V-League two-time MVP Valdez.

“The team has decided to just tap Alyssa as member of the coaching staff because we want the pla­yers seeing action in the UAAP to toughen up and gain experience,” pahayag ni Ateneo team manager Tony Liao.

Itataguyod nina Bea de Leon, Kassandra Gequillana, Jhoanna Maraguinot, Julia Morado, Gizelle Tan, Ana Gopico at Michelle Morente ang Ateneo kontra Lady Engineers sa main game.

Ang mga hugot na sina former La Salle star at Laoag setter Chi Saet at Adamson standout Mylene Paat ang ibabandera ng TIP sa event na suportado ng Mikasa at Accel.

Samantala, magtatagpo agad ang dalawang biga­ting teams na reigning NCAA champion College of Saint Benilde Lady Blazers at FEU Lady Tamaraws sa unang game na mapapanood ng live sa ABS CBN Sports + Action Channel 17 at 23.

Tinaob ng Lady Blazers ang San Sebastian College Lady Stags para sa NCAA crown noong nakaraang taon.

Graduate na ang ibang players na CSB kaya puwersadong balikatin ni NCAA Finals MVP Jeanette Panaga ang Lady Blazers.
