“Where ABS-CBN goes, I go.” Ito ang sagot ni Concert King Martin Nievera nang matanong namin kahapon sa presscon ng Twogether Again Valentine concert nila ni Pops Fernandez kung ano ang opinyon at nararamdaman niya sa napipintong pagsasara ng ABS-CBN dahil sa non-renewal of franchise.
“We don’t know the logistics of all of these, I cannot speak about it because I don’t know much about it. All I know is where ABS-CBN goes, I go. I will not turn my back on them just because it look like, you know, stormy weather is coming.
“Again, let me repeat, we don’t know the logistics of this whole renewal thing. I don’t know how that happens, how that works.
“All I know is, I will not turn my back on my Kapamilya,” ang seryosong pahayag ni Martin.
Sinigurado rin ni Concert King na mananatili siyang loyal sa Kapamilya network kahit ano pa ang mangyari.
“I’ve been loyal since the very beginning, I’ve remained loyal to a fault. I should already be somewhere else, doing something else. But I am so in-love with every person I work with, both in front and behind the camera that I think I would be unfaithful if I even dreamt of moving on.
“You know this, I could be a bigger name somewhere else because there are bigger names now that have surpassed me in ABS-CBN.
“But there’s a purpose for me, I don’t know what it is, but I’m just so happy to be with them. I love them all so much,” saad pa ni Martin.
“It’s not about money, it’s not about fame, it’s about relationship. Talagang Kapamilya kami,” he said.
When asked kung hindi ba option sa kanya ang lumipat sa ibang network, aminado ang Concert King na talagang maraming offer sa kanya ang ibang istasyon.
“Ang dami kong offers lumipat sa ibang network. Napaka-tempting. And I have nothing against any network. Channel 7 is where I came from. And the owners of Channel 5 are dear friends of mine. I have offers left and right.
“And It’s just… I don’t know what it is, because for someone whose crime was being unfaithful… (sabay-turo kay Pops which means, naging unfaithful siya sa kanyang ex-wife), I’m very faithful pala. I don’t know,” pahayag pa ni Martin na ikinatawa namin.
“If I would think about only myself, and the money that I could be earning and prostituting myself in all over the place, then I don’t think I would be the kind of artist worth watching. I think, I’d rather watch someone who really is in the business for all the right reasons.
“And after 37 years, I’m happy where I am,” dagdag pa ni Martin.
Samantala, ang Twogether Again ay ang reunion nina Pops & Martin sa isang Valentine concert. It has been 10 long years since the ex-couple reunited and headlined a major concert in Manila on Valentine’s Day of 2010.
Kaya naman, for sure ay napakaraming fans ang nag-aabang ng kanilang Valentine concert at itinodo na talaga nila dahil 7 nights itong tatakbo (Feb. 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21) at The Theatre at Solaire.

Juday walang planong mag-ober da bakod
Tulad ni Martin, mananatiling Kapamilya si Judy Ann Santos. Ito ang binitiwang pahayag ng aktres nang matanong siya sa finale presscon ng “Starla”.
Dahil nga magtatapos na ang serye, many are wondering kung may plano ba siyang lumipat dahil ito ang laging issue sa kanya sa tuwing may matatapos siyang project sa ABS-CBN.
“Ewan ko ba, parang ganu’n nga yata siguro ‘yun pagka… baka nagkakataon lang na everytime na may matatapos akong soap, mag-e-end na rin ‘yung contract and everything, so everybody is assuming na baka lilipat ng station.
“Pero sa tinagal-tagal ko naman sa ABS, though hindi ko itatago, may mga moments naman nu’ng kabataan ko, naiisip mo ‘yun, ‘di ba? Pagka may tampo ka, ‘pag halimbawang mayroon kayong miscommunication or misunderstanding ng mother network, you always think of something big to do. ‘Yung ‘ayoko na.’
“Pero you’ll always go back, you always go back to where you began, where you started, and napag-uusapan naman ang mga bagay-bagay. Kaya nga we are called Kapamilya,” pahayag ni Juday.
Nasasabi naman daw niya ang mga gusto niyang sabihin sa mga Kapamilya executives kung halimbawang may problema at nase-settle naman daw.
Proud pang sabi ni Juday, siya na lang daw yata ang hindi umalis sa ABS-CBN kaya hindi maiwasang mag-isip ang mga tao na lilipat siya.
“Parang hinihintay na lang yata nilang ‘baka this time,’ natatawa pang sey ni Juday.
After “Starla” ay sa pelikula muna magko-concentrate si Juday dahil may dalawang pelikula raw siyang naka-line-up na gawin.
