Emosyonal ang pagdating ng Concert King Martin Nievera dahil dati pa sensitive na isyu ang pagiging tatay nila ni Randy.
Si Randy dahil sa may sakit na anak, si Martin dahil may anak na hindi nakakasama rito sa bansa.
“If only they can control or oversee the lives of their children 24/7, gagawin nina Martin and Randy ‘yun,” sabi ng common friend nila.
“Both performers are accomplished pero ang waterloo pa rin nila ay pamilya.”
Meron pang isang nakakaiyak na post ang Megastar Sharon Cuneta sa kanyang social media accounts tungkol sa anak-anakan niyang si Ryan na nadurog ako.
Saksi kami noong The Sharon Cuneta Show sa closeness nila ng batang ito.
Sabi ni Sharon, “I wanted to post something much sooner about my ‘anak ni Mommy Shawie,’ Kuya Randy and Marilou Santiago’s 2nd of 3 sons Ryan Leonardo, who passed away a few days ago at the much too young age of 24… but I simply couldn’t.
“Ryan was the closest to me although Kuya Rafael was also close to me and my inaanak, the youngest Raiko is the one I haven’t yet been able to spend any time with as he came long after TSCS where his dad and I worked together every Sunday for many years in the ‘90s.
“Ryan called me ‘Mommy Sharon’ and called himself ‘Ryan Cuneta.’
“When he fell very ill, we were all devastated, but no doubt not even 1% of how devastated his parents must’ve been.
“Now he is forever gone… and though we mourn his passing, we know by faith that he is now our angel watching over us all, especially his Papa and Mama and two brothers.
“He is now free of pain and any form of discomfort… though at this time our hearts are not yet.
“May God our Father in heaven give you strength and solace and the kind of peace that can come only from His warm embrace, Kuya Randy, my dearest Marilou, Rafael and Raiko, and all of the rest of us who loved and will continue to love Ryan.
“I love you very much. Our deepest condolences and sympathies from the bottom of all our hearts.
“Keep the faith. Ryan would want you to.”
Natapos na kagabi ang viewing ng urn ni Ryan with testimonies from family members and classmates and friends.
Sabi ng katotong Allan Diones, isa itong millennial wake dahil ang daming bagets na may kakaibang uri ng expression ng pagdadalamhati.
The last day is made more significant by the fact na nataon na 18th death anniversary ito ng Daddy Pablo Santiago nina Randy.

HAVEY: Ginanap kahapon ang Metro Manila Film Festival ExeCom monthly meeting sa Bellevue sa Alabang.
Doon naging pormal ang kasunduan na ang Muntinlupa ang magiging host ng MMFF 2017 Parade and Awards.
Kung last year, ang City of Manila ang nag-host ng yearly parade, this year it’s the City of Muntinlupa na magse-celebrate ng kanilang 100th year as a city.
The Parade of Stars will be on Dec. 23 samantalang ang Awards Night ay sa Dec. 27.
Itinalaga si Sir Wilson Tieng bilang MMFF Marketing Committee Head.
Kami nina Arnell Ignacio and Liza Diño ang mamamahala ng Gabi Ng Parangal na mag-o-oversee sa produksyon ng Viva. Papalitan ang tropeo na binatikos sa pagiging hugis-labintador, pamaypay, at yema noong isang taon.
Sinusuportahan ng MMFF Execom ang Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino at pinasalamatan ang Cinemalaya sa pag-feature ng MMFF films nitong katatapos lang nilang edisyon.
Sinusuportahan din ng MMFF ang forthcoming QCinema at Cinema One Originals Film Festivals.

Tuloy pa rin ang deadline ng submission for short films na September 1. Announcement of the Official Short Film Entries will be on September 30.
Ang Early Bird Submission for Finished Full Length Films ay hanggang October 2 and until October 30 for regular submission.
Ang announcement of the final 4 finished film official entries will be on November 17.
