Pitong mga bagong proyekto na nagkakahalaga ng P187.34 bilyon ang inaprubahan ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board nitong Biyernes.
Kabilang dito ang tatlong proyekto ng Department of Transportation (DOTr), tatlo rin sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), at isa sa Department of Health (DOH).
Ayon kay Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia, lima sa mga nasabing proyekto ang gagawin sa labas ng Metro Manila.
“This shows the administration is committed to develop growth centers in the regions and maximize the economic benefits of connectivity of communities,” ayon kay Pernia.
Kabilang sa mga proyektong gagawin ng DOTr ay ang Davao Public Transport Modernization Project, unsolicited proposal para sa bagong Bohol Panglao International Airport, at unsolicited Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) Proposal: Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Ang apat pang proyekto ay ang Pasacao-Balatan Coastal Tourism Highway; Samal Island-Davao City Connector (SIDC) Project; Camarines Sur High-Speed Highway ng DPWH; at ang Development Objective Assistance Agreement (DOAg): Improved Health for Underserved Filipinos of the DOH. (PNA)
