Silat ang mga dayo sa 79th UAAP ­champion Ateneo Blue Eagles 10-4 at sa La Salle Green Archers 9-3, tinalo nila ang UAAP runner-up UST Growling Tigers, 11-4.

“This is part of PABA’s program in forming the national team that will represent the ­country in the coming Asia Championships in Taipei late September or early ­October,” ani Philippine Amateur Baseball Association secretay general Chito Loyzaga ukol sa dalawang araw na Goodwill Games na dinaos ng PABA katuwang ang Philippine Sports Commission at UAAP schools Ateneo, La Salle at UST.

“What we are also training for is the qualifier for the Under 23 World Baseball Softball dahil bago itong Under 23 na para naman sa WBSC World Cup. Mabuti na iyong nakasalang iyong mga Under 23 natin para makita nila kung gaano mag-perform sa ganitong level at quality,” hirit ni Loyzaga.
