Kalmado at tamang friendly si ­Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga ipinahayag nito sa China kahapon sa harap ng ambassador nito kasabay ng paggunita sa Araw ng mga Bayani.

“We have this problem now, China­…If I am not ready for war then peace is the only way. I keep my silence now the ­ambassador is there but I’ll state may case before you now.

I will never bring the matter because it might lead only to suspensions of talks with China­ and that is not good Mr. ­Ambassador (Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao J­ianhua),” ­pahayag ni Duterte.

Ayon pa sa Pangulo, kapag duma­ting naman ang pagkakataon na makaharap ­niya ang sinuman sa mga opisyal o kinatawan ng China ay preparadung-preparado siya.

“I will not use the judgment of the ­arbitral tribunal now but I would one day sit in front of your representative or you and then I will lay bare my ­position and I would say that this paper I cannot get out of the four corner of this… and thus the arbitral judgment,” giit pa ng Pangulo.
