Sinuportahan ng Department of National Defense (DND) ang temporary closure ng Philippine Military Academy (PMA) sa Fort Del Pilar sa mga bisita at mga outsider sa banta ng Novel Coronavirus Acute Respiratory Disease (2019-nCoV ARD).
“The DND supports the decision of the Philippine Military Academy to temporarily close its grounds to visitors and outsiders in light of the 2019-nCov situation. This is in step with the decision of the City Mayor of Baguio, the Honorable Benjamin Magalong, who imposed a mandatory a city-wide lockdown for tourists and visitors,” pahayag sa statement ni DND Secretary Delfin Lorenzana kahapon.
Iminungkahi din ni Lorenzana na iurong sa ibang petsa ang taunang PMA Alumni Homecoming na ginagawa kada ikalawang linggo ng Pebrero.
Samantala nag-anunsyo na rin ang pamunuan ng Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) kahapon ang pagsasara ng kanilang kampo sa Silang, Cavite.
Bawal muna ang bumisita sa mga kadete kahit ang kanilang mga kaanak dahil sa banta ng 2019-nCOV ARD.
“Effective today (Tuesday) visitations for cadets is suspended until further notice as ordered by PNPA Director, Major Gen. Chiquito Malayo,” pahayag ni PNP spokesperson Police Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac. (Edwin Balasa)
