“This issue has become more pressing considering the expiration of the terms of the incumbent officials this year and the upcoming elections scheduled on November 25,” puna ni Angara.

“National athletes competing in international competitions are beneficiaries and recipient of substantial financial aid and support from the State, through, among others, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), and thus, it is only appropriate for the State to ensure that such financial aid and support is responsibly utilized to attain such purpose,” paliwanag ni Angara.
