“There are many options being considered by the Board of Managing Directors and one of those is the opening of the UAAP in the first quarter of 2021,” anang opisyal.
“We’re guided by: 1) the Presidential directive (Inter Agency Task Force) prohibiting mass gatherings; 2) the Philippine Sports Commision statement of ‘no vaccine, no sports’; and 3) the earlier Department of Edducation pronouncements that face-to-face or in-person classes can only begin on August 24 at the earliest while Commission of Higher Education says its September 1 for higher education institutions (HEIs),” lpanapos niyang litanya. “Of course, once face-to-face classes do start, you have to give a window for the student-athletes to prepare.”
(RC)
