Pinaaksyunan ni Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV ang mga kasamahan niya sa Senado hinggil sa panukala sa paglikha ng Filipino Identification Card na kilala rin bilang national ID system bill.

Tiwala si Trillanes na malaki ang maitutulong ng national ID system para masugpo ang kriminalidad at terorismo sa bansa.

“Aside from promoting efficient delivery of public services by curbing the perennial problem of providing various identifications in transacting with the government, this national ID system could also help our anti-crime and anti-terror campaign.

By having a centralized database, we would have easy access to information about suspects, fugitives and other lawless elements.” paliwanag ng senador.

Nakasaad sa Senate Bill No. 95, mag-iisyu ang gobyerno ng Identification Card, bilang kapalit ng lahat ng iniisyung ID ng gobyerno.
