Pumasok na sa mandatory military service ang idol na si Key. Noong March 4, nag-enlist ito sa Korea Army Training Center in Nonsan.
Pangalawa siya sa miyembro ng SHINee na nandoon. Nauna na sa kanya si Onew.
As expected, hindi pumayag ang mga tagahanga ni SHINee Key na hindi ito masilayan at maihatid, lalo na’t halos dalawang taon din nila itong hindi makikita.
Nagpasalamat siya sa kanyang mga tagahanga. ‘Wag daw mag-worry ang mga ito sa kanya habang nasa loob siya ng military camp.
Ayon kay Key, “In order to fulfill my military duty, I am enlisting today and will be discharged around October of next year. I will be strong and healthy, so don’t worry too much. You have waited over two years for even an album. I will return in good health, so don’t worry.”
Anyway, mapapanood si Key ng mga fan hanggang April dahil sa ginawa niyang program bago mag-enlist.
“I have recorded programs that will air until about April, so I think you can endure for now while watching those. Be happy, everyone, and thank you!”
Isang araw naman bago ito mag-enlist, nag-post si Key ng farewell message sa mga fan niya na may 20 months din siyang mami-miss.
“To All my little freaks, Hello, this is SHINee’s Key. Have you all been doing well?
“Since I debuted in 2008, it has been quite busy, but I have come this far. I have shared many precious memories with everyone, and you all are the reason I am staying on this path [as an idol] without losing my place.
“I am always thankful and thankful again, and I’m sorry I’m not able to share my heart and feelings during times like this.
“I’ve never had an extended break as long as this, but on March 4 after I enlist in the military, I won’t be able to greet you all for a while.
“Even though you all might be sad and disappointed because of the long wait in between albums, I know that you all will be waiting for me during this time, but you don’t have to worry about me. I will return happy and in good health.
“I hope everyone will always be happy and stay healthy. I am always thankful and I love you all.
“P.S. I’m leaving!!!!!♡”
