Dinoble pa ng San Miguel Corp. ang produksiyon ng nutribun para ipamigay sa mga mahihirap na komunidad na higit na apektado ng coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.
Sa pamamagitan ng San Miguel Foods Inc., umaabot na sa 24,000 pieces ng nutribun ang nagagawa araw-araw. Inumpisahan ito sa 10,000 buns per day.
“What we hope to do is reach as many vulnerable families as possible and help make sure they do not go hungry,” pahayag ni SMC boss Ramon S. Ang. “Apart from our food donations, our version of the ‘nutribun’ is another way for us to keep our citizens healthy and nourished.”
Mula sa food manufacturing facility ng SMC sa Sta. Rosa, Laguna at Flour Development Center sa Ugong, Pasig, umaabot na sa 284,171 pieces ng nutribun at 177,808 pieces ng pandesal ang naipamahagi ng kumpanya.
“Our food donations, which include our own products as well as rice, for vulnerable communities, also continues,” dagdag ni RSA.
Nagdo-donate din ang SMC ng harina sa LGUs na magagawang tinapay sa abot-kayang halaga.
Nasa 46 na lugar sa loob at labas ng Metro Manila ang naging recipient ng donation.
“We are not immune to this crisis, but we do everything we can as we mobilize our response to this crisis and make sure that help reaches those who are in need,” panapos na wika ni Ang. (Vladi Eduarte)
