May pagkakataon pa ang mga interesadong grupo na suriin ang source code para sa automated election system na gagamitin sa halalan sa susunod na taon dahil plano ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na palawigin ang review period nito.

“The review committee is recommending extending the review period. For now, we have until January 31 at the De La Salle University,” pahayag ni Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez.

Noong Oktubre sini­mulan ng Comelec ang local source code review ng ilang grupo na ginanap sa nasabing unibersidad.

May 66 indibiduwal mula sa 19 na grupo ang lumahok sa source code review.
“So far, there have yet to be any findings that we can call material or significant with the operation of our source code… having any malcode, so far, there has been none,” ani ­Jimenez. (PNA)
