“Ako naman I came here, not thinking long term. I’ll be honest with that. Let’s face it, you get one-and-done pulling right away, 10 years na nga ‘di nag-final four, ‘yun din talaga ‘yung gusto naming i-solve,” aniya.

Pinunto rin ni Chongson ang kakulangan ng management sa long term program para sa Recto-based hoopsters.

“Long term, with UE’s history wala naman talagang long term ang UE eh. They changed coaches just like they changed their clothes.”

Sa kasalukuyan, nasa 3-9 mark ang University of the East.

“Try nila instead of changing coach, change the management din. Everybody is maybe active in good faith, hopefully. It’s just that if you put the steering wheel sa wrong kind of a driver, chances are they drive you off the cliff. Not to say, that I want to stay ‘di naman iyon ang inaano ko rito.”

(JAT)
