Payag si top volleyball player Alyssa Valdez na dumaan sa proseso at tryout para sa national women’s indoor volleyball team na hahambalos sa 29th Southeast Asian Games sa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia sa Agosto 19-31.

Tugon ito kahapon ng 23-anyos na Batangueña sa giniit nu’ng Huwebes ni newly-appointed national women’s volleyball coach Francis ­Vicente na walang magiging pala­kasan system at pa-VIP sa mga manlalaro na nais makapasok sa team na pa-SEA Games.

“One of the main key for us to form a competitive team, we have to have committed players from the start and it has to be fair for everyone when it comes to the player selection and all should follow the rules,” anang produkto ng Ateneo Lady Eagles at Philippine Volleyball League (dating  Shakey’s V-League) at 2012 Singapore SEAG flag-bearer.

“I don’t think Thailand hinder me to play for the Philippines. We just really have to fix our sche­dule and find a way. Hopefully, all my schedule will fall into place.

“That is also my goal as an athlete, to represent the country in the internatio­nal arena. That’s why I’m trying different things to contribute to Philippine volleyball,” hirit niya.

Pa-Thailand ngayon si Valdez para lumaro sa 3BB Nakornnont sa Thai League at sa Thai-Denmark Super League sa susunod na ilang buwan.

Siya ang first Filipina player na mapapasabak sa super-strong league bukod sa una ring Pinay  import sa international scene.
