Saludo si Vice President Leni Robredo kay 2016 Rio Paralympic Games bronze medalist Josephine Medina na tumapos sa 16-year medal drought ng Pilipinas sa palaro.

“We congratulate Josephine Medina on winning a bronze medal in the 2016 Rio Paralympics,” ani Robredo.

Nakuha ni Medina ang medalya sa table tennis women’s singles class 8 division nang talunin si 2015 European Para Championships silver medalist Julianne Wolf ng Germany 11-5, 11-6, 11-7.

Huling nag-uwi ng bronze medal din para sa Pilipinas si powerlifter Adeline Dumapong-Ancheta noong 2000 Sydney Games.
