Itinanggi ng Malacañang na nagpapatupad ng ‘selective justice’ si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa anti-crime campaign nito.
“Well, as we can see that the President has even named the Level 5 drug lords. Level 5 drug lords or alleged drug lords are the highest that you can get in the hierarchy of those who are selling, pushing, peddling illegal drugs,” ani Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Martin Andanar
“I have not seen a president who has been so brave in announcing to the public the people who have been or allegedly are behind this menace of drugs,” pahayag pa nito.
Idinipensa rin ni Andanar si Pangulong Duterte sa ginawa nitong pagkikipagpulong sa negosyanteng si Peter Lim na pinaghihinalaang isa sa Top 3 drug lord sa Pilipinas.
“Well, the alleged suspect, drug lord suspect Peter Lim has already expressed his intentions to clear his name, let’s leave it at that,” pahayag ni Andanar sa Radyo ng Bayan.
Nauna nang nagbanta si Duterte na kanyang ipapatay si Lim kapag napatunayang ito ang alyas ‘Jaguar’ na sinasabing humahawak ng operasyon ng illegal drugs sa Visayas.
Sa kanilang pagkikita kamakailan, itinanggi ni Lim kay Duterte na siya si alyas ‘Jaguar’. Tiniyak din nito na isusuko niya ang kanyang sarili sa ginagawang imbestigasyon ng gobyerno sa mga personalidad na dawit sa operasyon ng iligal na droga sa bansa.
Sabi ni Andanar, mas mabuting hintayin na lang ang resulta ng imbestigasyon at kung papaanong mapapatunayan ni Lim na hindi nga siya sangkot sa drug operation sa Visayas.
“Let’s just wait until the final investigation comes out. Let’s just wait for Mr. Peter Lim’s evidence and what he can show to clear him from this allegation,” ani Andanar.
Sa kanilang pag-uusap nang magkaharap sa tanggapan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa Davao City, diretsahang sinabi umano ni Duterte kay Lim na “I will execute you…I will finish you off.”
“My family is really in deep problem now in Cebu. We are getting all the threats,” pahayag umano ni Lim kay Duterte.
Sinagot naman ito ng Pangulo na “I will not say I’m sorry because the reason you’re here is you’re a suspected drug lord.
