Emosyonal na nagpasalamat at nagpaalam si Russell Westbrook sa kanyang fans tapos pumutok ang balitang iti-trade na siya ng Oklahoma City Thunder sa Houston Rockets kapalit ni Chris Paul.
Ngayon lang lilipat ng team si Westbrook mula nang tapikin ng Seattle Supersonics bilang fourth pick overall noong 2008 mula UCLA. Sumunod na taon ay nag-relocate ang team sa Oklahoma City, ‘di umalis si Westbrook at naging magkakampi pa sila nina James Harden at Kevin Durant sa Thunder.
“It’s been one heck of a journey Oklahoma! When I came here, I was 18 years old, bright eyed, and completely unaware of all the amazing things that would soon take place,” ani Westbrook sa Instagram.
Sinamahan niya ang post ng highlight reel ng kanyang mga laro, pati ang pagtanggap ng 2017 MVP award at ang pakikihalubilo niya sa komunidad.
“You have supported me through all the ups and the downs, and stood by me through the good times, and tough times,” wakas ni Westbrook.
